U.S. Domestic Scan Program

Client: U.S. Domestic Scan Program, part of the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP 20-68A)
Audience: Scan participants, state DOT managers and practitioners, local and regional road agencies

NCHRP contracted with CTC & Associates to document evidence that the U.S. Domestic Scan Program is leading to the adoption of new technologies, specifications and practices by transportation agencies participating in the scans, as well as by other agencies to whom scan findings are disseminated. Through phone interviews with scan participants and others, CTC has identified and reported benefits of the program, paths of information exchange and opportunities for additional technology transfer. CTC also created and maintains an interactive website with scan information and findings that invites information sharing among scan participants. In 2013 CTC began partnering with scan contractor Arora and Associates, P.C. to support more rapid dissemination and implementation of scan technologies and practices.
