CTC & Associates prepared this quick-turnaround synthesis report for Caltrans to help the agency revise and update its bridge deterioration models and user costs to ensure that resources to maximize bridge service life are expended appropriately. To assist with this information-gathering effort, CTC surveyed state departments of transportation and conducted a literature search of domestic and international in-progress and published research.
